My thoughts:

I would get an S if it's just a family truckster. We have a highly spec'd 22 GTS that serves as the family truckster...to be honest we went a bit overboard in our build and in retrospect should have just done a well spec'd S.
I would definitely not get pebble grey interior on a family DD, It's going to be filthy/stained in short order. Same with light grey seat belts. Even if your family is "clean" like mine.
I would sit in both 14 and 18 ways. We have 18 ways, they are great but I sort of wish I would have gone 14 for ease of getting in and out for a DD. ESPECIALLY since Porsche quit offering the power steering column at the end of 2021, which even w/ comfort entry set on the seat it still is less than easy to get in/out of them.
I would not skip Premium Package Plus. This gets you Bose so you can skip the individual Bose option, as well as your individual options for LCA and ventilated front seats and panoramic roof. PDLS+ headlights are worth it. If you do want 18 way seats, at least in the past, you could still have 18 ways with Premium Package plus.
I would not skip the Surround View camera, to me not having this is resale suicide. Even Toyota and Kia SUVs come standard with this nowdays. Also we use this feature EVERY time we park the car.
I'd recommend you sit in a car w/ a GT steering wheel. For me at 5'8" tall the GT wheel obscured the outside gauges, which would drive me nuts so did not get it.

My $0.02.

So, I think a lot of @Nickshu 's comments above are right on point and I agree with almost all of them, including about the 14-way seats. (The only thing I disagree about is the GT steering wheel, which I got and I like a lot...more than the version that was in my '21 GTS).

I just got a '24 GTS in Chalk over Black / Pebble Grey. I love it, but it's my daily and not our main family car. Pebble Grey feels much closer to white than Pebble Grey did in my '21 GTS (which got totaled at the beginning of the year).

One other note is that I missed the $0 option to get summer tires on my 21" wheels and I'm annoyed with myself for that...it came with Pirelli all-seasons and they're not great if you / your wife ever likes to drive in a spirited fashion. And if you guys don't, as was said above, an S would probably make more sense for your family hauler.

Get what you like. But add the surround view as it really helps to know where the car begins and ends!

I believe you have checked the "raised 10mm" Air PASM, general opinion is uncheck that one unless you plan to drive in snow a lot. Keep the 18 ways, they are the best. I would take off the sunroof but that's just me, also might consider the 5 spoke sport wheels, easier to keep clean and only $600.

I like it but here my 2 cents:

- GTS is an overkill and too expensive for what it is. With the S you get 95% of the fun and much better value. You can maybe add the sports exhausts to get the GTS sound but honestly the S sound is more than sufficient.
- Take out the sun roof. You will hardly use it and it adds on weight and heats up the car in the summer. There are also reported draining issues with the sun roof.
- surround view camera is a must. I don't have it and it is one of the options I miss the most.
- I would add the lane keep assist. This is another option I miss. In the world when the cheapest kia forte or toyota corolla have this as standard, I don't understand why Porsche has it still as an extra option you have to pay for.
- I would remove the sport chrono package. It is really useless for a street SUV. You might use launch control 2 or 3 times and that is it. Some people say the only function they use is the slector but you can just push the sports mode button.
- 14 way seats are the most comfortable seats of any car I have owned. Unless you are a really skinny person, I would go for the 14 way seats.

Everything else looks great and BTW I disagree that the pebble grey is a bad option. We have in our family Volvo SUV similar color (is called blond) and one year in it still looks great.

Good luck.

As noted , save the bucks, the S is a riot and frankly most folks won't hardly notice the difference if you get the high end wheels. Do want you want interior wise but realize Porsche will suck you in to plenty of items you will never remember ordering, ha,ha!

Very nice spec! I realize you are a very experienced Porsche owner, so I'll keep this short:
-- Sport Chrono and raised suspension?
-- Cargo management system: I have this and it is certainly frequently useful. When you have a very bulky item to load, it's a bit of a PITA. If I were to buy again, I'd be tempted to save my money and buy something off Amazon that has pockets for grocery bags or the like.
-- Pebble Grey leather? I'd echo the comments by the others -- might be a maintenance challenge.
-- I also understand those who suggest an S is sufficient. On the other hand, a Honda or Toyota is "sufficient", yes?

Do you live in Germany or use your Macan on the track? If so, I understand that the small power difference between S and GTS will matter to you but otherwise you can spec your S the way that it is 95% as good as a GTS and save $15k. I live in the US and I can't justify paying the extra money for the GTS and not being able to drive faster than 80mph without getting into trouble. BTW the S has the exact same engine as the GTS is just tuned differently.

So how does the stock PASM and the Adaptive Air + PASM differ apart from the 10mm height difference?

We just picked up our 2024 S.

Couple things for you to consider.

Pebble grey is light. Even the kick panels. I could not live with all the dirt/scuff marks from shoes showing. Just too much of a maintenance nightmare. Check out Agate if you haven’t seen in person.

I find that the Weathertech trunk mat with the cargo blocks is a much better/flexible cargo management system.

We didn’t get Sport Chrono. Not really a need for the wife’s daily.

Surround view is awesome for parking. Well worth it.

14 ways are super comfy and good looking.

Stock PASM on the GTS is Air -10mm. Checking the box puts you in the equivalent of an S with the Air PASM option.

so the ride height is the *only* difference between the two systems?

I had 2022 S for 5 months while I waited for my ordered 2023 GTS - is the S enough "yes" - is the GTS better "yes" - only thing I see I would add, is if you wife likes tunes upgrade from Bose to Burnmeister - well worth it. I loved the Gertain blue as well. But have to say I love my GTS and have no regrets switching and paying $30k (MSRP to MSRP) more for my GTS, then the S I was driving. Everytime I am in it, I love it! GLWD - looks like a great build for your wife and a car you will enjoy driving!

Here was my thoughts from S to GTS at the time I got mine.
