Easiest and nicest upgrade to my Macan 2021
Hi, sharing my experience here. I already was a customer of innovativesoftnz for a PCM upgrade and I saved to buy this amazing Sport Chrono retrofit to my Macan (Base) 2021 as I hated jumping on the console anytime I need to get in sport mode (freeway ramp-up, ...).
Raymond, prepared for me a carbon/leather steering wheel with the new SP *** and added already pre-wired the skip track (MF button) for my Android Auto mod. When I received the new steering wheel I was a bit anxious to install it, but as Raymond shared with me some videos I was convinced I could do it myself. And indeed, this is the easiest mod ever. Removing the airbag, 4 connectors took literally 5 mins and being careful to check the angle for the steering wheel. The swap is piece of cake and overall should not take more than 10 mins overall. It feels amazing and everything worked as expected. Truely awesome mod I recommend to everybody !!!

I reached out to Raymond and exactly a week later, I now have a brand new OEM GT wheel and Sport Chrono functionality. Raymond was amazing as he communicated effortlessly throughout the weekend until I decided to pull the trigger. I realize he is in a different time zone but I had sent messages at 5am on a Sunday and I saw responses in minutes...truly amazing. The wheel was shipped with DHL express and arrived within 4 days of shipment. It was a brand new part still in the OE box with the addition of the Sport Chrono module activation.
Installation took 20-30 minutes being ultra-careful and slow but I could do it again in 10 minutes. Once installed, everything worked as expected. Sport+ provides a significant transmission change (lower gears and holds them much longer to a higher redline) and it shifts much quicker when pushing the pedal more aggressively. On my tuned base model, its not overly aggressive and I can still drive normally. Initially, I preferred using the paddles in Sport + for maximum shift speed and exhaust noises, its a bit of a novelty but definitely a lot of fun.
Sport + / Sport Response aside, the pre-assembled GT wheel itself was its own major upgrade, providing a new look and more steering resistance due to the smaller size. Sport+/Sport Response/Launch control are just icing and in my opinion, the major initial improvements come from the new, smaller wheel and the mode dial so that I don't need to press it on the console.
It's definitely a worthwhile mod to punch up your base or any model without Sport Chrono.

I do have some concerns with the warranty but its a risk I am ok with. If I did take it in for a drivetrain issue under warranty, I would place the stock wheel back on since the Sport Chrono GT wheel does have that aftermarket box in it. Granted a scan can likely reveal a rev limit or shift pressures higher than expected in Sport mode however since its still an OE rev level, it may not be flagged as an issue.

there isn’t any aftermarket box inside of your steering wheel , as we have mentioned, if you buy the steering wheel assembly, all will be factory and activation was done on the Oem control module.

I didn't touch the clock, I'm even sure what features it has to be honest.

First, you will need to decide if you want a whole new wheel or to retrofit your existing one. Then just choose the 2022 version for what you are looking for. On my 2021, I went with an entirely new GT wheel since it was a nice upgrade over the standard wheel and I can sell my other wheel at some point. I am keeping it just in case I need it for a warranty claim. The entire new wheel is a quick installation whereas the retrofit is a slightly longer process but shouldn't be that difficult.
