2019 Macan 4 cyl engine oil
I am bringing my wife's 2019 4cyl turbo Macan to my indy for an oil change. I noticed that it calls for Mobil 1 0W20 weight oil. We live in SW Florida and that seems very lightweight for the hot temps here. I have a 911 Turbo S and have gone to 5W50 for the last several years and it handles the warm temps really well. Does anyone use a different weight for their Macan in warmer climes.?

The temperature range carmakers test for the recommended oil viscosity are pretty extreme, so I would trust that Porsche's oil recommendation to handle Florida's weather with no issues. 5W-50 probably won't cause any trouble starting the engine during the summer, assuming the Macan isn't parked in an air conditioned garage, but you're probably losing efficiency until it comes to operating temperature in the three other seasons. Is your wife revving the hell out of her Macan engine? I wouldn't jump from 0W-20 to 5W-50 unless it's going to see some hardcore track time.
Also, doesn't the manual say you can use 0W-40 in hot climates?

I wouldn't try to second guess Porsche's choice of oil. From 2019 onward, the 2.0 engine oil-pump drive was modified to operate the pump at a higher speed, to increase the volume of 0W-20 pumped thru the engine. Also, the oil capacity was increased to 5.49 quarts (5.2L).
The manual does not allow 0W-40 for hotter climates.
0W-20 Oils that meet VW/Audi 508, and Porsche C20:
Castrol Edge Professional LL IV FE 0W-20
Fuchs Titan GT1 Long Life IV SAE 0W-20
Liqui Moly TOP TEC 6200 SAE 0W-20
Mobil-1 ESP X2 0W-20
Motul SPECIFIC 508 00 509 00 0W-20
Ravenol VSE 0W-20
Total QUARTZ INEO XTRA LONG LIFE 0W-20
VW/Audi G 052 577 M2
