Default Surprise Bonus with our "New to Us" 2018 GTS (Burmester, Ext warranty...)..

Hey everyone - just arrived last night to our Clearwater, FL home and our "new to us" 2018 Night Blue Macan GTS waiting for us. We purchased this car sight unseen with the help of PCA/Rennlister [dak911] in Delray,FL who graciously offered to put some boots on the ground and check the car out. We felt confident to pull the trigger when Daniel commented "if you don't buy it, I will" after seeing it. He also commented that he "thought it had Burmester" in it but I just couldn't see it on the photos. And much to our pleasant surprise it did! And the car is in GREAT shape, with no door edge dings, clean etc...

What's curious is that the Burmester option, nor the Panaramic Sunroof, were listed on the $91K build sheet. ??

Thanks again, Daniel. So great to have your help on this!

JP

Burmeister is the top upgraded stereo option I believe. Looks like a nicely optioned machine and sure you will enjoy it. Noticed you are in the Vancouver area , and when we were there last year there were Porsches coming out of the woodwork. We were behind a 992 Turbo and GT3 going North to Pemberton and they were not observing the tough Canadian Speed Limit boundaries, ha!

Yes, Porsches are so common there nobody really takes notice anymore. The little 1974 Alfat GTV I owned gathered WAY more praise and thumbs-up than the Porsche!

Pano roof would be part of the Premium Plus pkg. So would Burmester but then the Prem Plus Pkg should show at like $8K, not $3K as Bose is the standard system with Prem Plus Pkg. Maybe the Burmester was a retrofit? Burmester get's polished aluminum speaker grill surrounds along with the Burmester logo in the front door speakers. There are Chinese made polished aluminum speaker grill surrounds out there to replicate the look though.

Maybe a page 2 to that build sheet. I had one copy that had totals on both pages. Add up the numbers and see if you are short on the total?

That's a great idea and I'll check my VINanlytics download. Thanks.

Just did:

Build Sheet total: $91190

Totaled on excel sheet: $86490

Difference: $4700 = Burmester cost in November 2017?

These are them and also the dash Burmester speakers, software etc... so it's real deal!

And yes, it does have the Pano Roof. Nice...

I think you found it. Any Porsche dealer can print you (or PDF email you) a build sheet using your VIN. Some dealers charge a fee for this, the nice ones don't. Way better and more accurate report than VINAnalytics generic report.
It won't have pricing on it though.

Nice bonus! I got a nice bonus with my pre-owned 2021, which I found out had a prepaid maintenance program.

You get smart after a couple of tickets / impounds etc... Most now drive "spiritfully" with WAZE, a detector to pick up KA band radar, and just good situational awareness as to where the popo hang out. There's a handful of known "fishing holes". But, yes, the boundaries are tough - anything > 25 MPH (40 KPH) over the 50 MPH speed limit and your can and will be (in a Porsche - they let the Dodge Caravans off with a warning) impounded for a week the first, 2 weeks the second, and a month the third. Just recently three "rookies" got caught and impounded. Made local news etc...

As you likely found it's an EPIC driving road but really over kill in a GT3 / Turbo and just as much fun in a lesser powered car.

P.s. What color were the GT3 and TT 992? I probably know them.

Default And ANOTHER bonus...

Just spoke with the local dealership, gave the VIN etc... and it turns out there's a BALANCE of an EXTENDED WARRANTY that may fix the dash etc...

YAY!
