Must dos after taking delivery of a new Macan
Preparing to get my new 23 Macan S. Was wondering what the most important things people recommend to do once get the car. I was thinking installing a clear bra in the front with or without ceramic coating. Later on I plan to powder coat the base S wheels, swap the base exhaust tips, swap the base tail lights (install clear ones). I think that would be it at the beginning. Any other tips?

Here is a weird one....if you intend to keep your Macan a long time, remove, and grease (or antiseize) the long pinch-bolt of the front suspension. These bolts usually "corrosion-weld" themselves after some years and road salt, and this bolt needs to be removed to replace the two upper control arms. By 70,000 to 100,000 miles, the inner rubber bushings of the arms WILL fail.
And change your engine oil and filter every 5000 miles.
Change your PDK external AND internal filter, and fluid, every 20,000 miles.
Change your Transfer Case fluid every 20,000 miles.

Have the alignment checked. Yeah. I know that's out of left field. I took possession of mine new in '18. Chewed up a new set of tires in less than 9,000 miles. It took two trips to a crappy dealership to get it into alignment.

Here's what I did - I live in ol california:
Must do's:
- PPF front hood + mirrors and pillars at least
>> I did the entire car
- Ceramic coating
- windshield exoshield film. saved me many times, investment is worth it
- Window tint all windows
- Matte protect all the reflective surfaces
>> your eyes will thank you for this when the sun doesn't straight reflect into your face
- protect the screen (finger prints and just straight damage)
Optional - depending on taste:
- Exhaust modification (weight reduction + style + sound)
- Rear trunk LED modification (lighting is too dim back there)
- Tune the engine (options: cobb access port, GIAC, APR)
- Wheels (if you don't like the OEM ones)
- spacers (more aggressive look)
- side markers (clear or smoked depending on car color)

I have Geico insurance. Within a week after purchase, I signed up for their MBI program. It works! Had upper control arms, alignment of and new windshield replaced and all sensors checked for a total of $300!
It’s a 6/100 at about $25/mo. Do the math: $1800…..for 6 years or 100,000 miles. I’m at 65,450 now.
