When built and delivered - I cannot predict the future

My wife has a 23 GTS on order with a 5/20 production date. The sales guy told us that the Burmester will be available only in the GTS in the Macan lineup due to shortages. I don't know if he has good info or not, probably trying to make me feel good with our choice. I guess we will find out soon enough. As a data point, I have a Burmester system in my 2022 Macan GTS and it is outstanding.
I have it in my 2018MY and it is worth waiting for.
When you get it spend a bit of time adjusting the settings to your taste; nice bit of deep bass from the sub if it's on the track.
We've got a big system in the house so quite fussy about sq.

I switch between all the sources, with the windows shut at a steady 80 the car is really quiet on most decent roads.
Bose on the 911 was boomy but i thought probably due to the difficulty finding a space for any extra amp / sub.
On my spec the Burm didn't cost a great deal more; if it had the Bose would have been fine.

Personally I just think the Macan interior just has bad acoustics. Bose does not sound great to me in the Macan. Burmeister sounds better but for the price it's far from being the greatest audio system I have heard in a car.
Bose in my 2018 Panamera Turbo sounds way better than Burmeister in our 2022 Macan GTS, which was disappointing to me. Also this is why I think the Macan may just have poor acoustics w/ it smaller cabin.

A big problem for all of them is finding space for any extra hardware in a cabin optimised around other priorities.
The system in my 928 was mostly Pioneer but the cdp had to sit on a parcel shelf, amp displaced the spare wheel and the sub took up some of the rear hatch. The speakers were extra thin so hard to replace.
Same problem in the 996, Bose have squeezed in what they can but the sub is half size.
To get the best out of any car system you need to spend time with a few of your favourite tracks playing around with settings.

Just put the first 200 miles on my GTS with Burmester.
It is better than any Porsche BOSE I've had to date, but for the price I expected even more. It is very clear and the speakers are undoubtedly superior.
I don't think it is any better overall than the Rockford Fosgate option (part of the Sport package) in my Subaru daily driver.
Tough decision on ever ordering again....hmmm.......
