Given the delay on the Macan EV, my uneducated guess is that the ICE version will continue at least through 2026 with maybe another minor refresh..

The ICE models will sell concurrently with the EV version for at least one (or maybe two) model years.

Thanks guys. I want one more gas Macan before they are gone, but have 2 years of warranty left on my 2019 S. So it sounds like my timing is still good.

I hear you! I want to hear my car and I just can’t understand why they have to make EV’s look like EV’s??? Just stick the electric crap under a normal looking body!

there are a few normal looking electric SUV but I have yet to see one with a nice front end, problem is petroleum car design is not very aerodynamics so you can't just shape an EV like it,
and slapping a fake grill on the front is not helping neither.

Once again the media wraps what should be a simple free market issue into a political enigma so it looks like we have accepted the "last gas Macan" outcome already.

Like air and water, an extra charging handle at a few gas stations might solve the EV range problem.

But no, it starts with taxpayer funded subsidies and attempts at per mile tracking. It ends with unelected bureaucrat mandates starting in CA and Europe, ending ICE vehicles around 2035. Seen it living decades in CA.

Cooking fans, enjoy your gas ranges.

Mods, please censor/move/delete as you see fit.

My "last gas Macan" question was prompted by the statement made by the Porsche CEO that the gas Macan will be replaced by the EV Macan. Found a quote last night stating that they will be made concurrently for about 18 months as the EV Macan line ramps up. So, it appears that I can wait until the EV launches before needing to place an order.

So because the woke CEO caves to the bureaucrats in Brussels, your mind says the last gas Macan is a done deal.

Next step is removal of the gasoline refueling infrastructure through permitting. Now who wants the last gas Macan?

Yes. When the company making the product announces that they aren't going to make it any longer, I tend to believe them.

I have no interest in an EV, so I'd like to run a gas powered vehicle as long as I can.

Onami, I understand. But if you live in CA, here's an example of how the smartest in the room thinks there.

In late 2011, just before we left, I talked to an indie diesel truck mechanic, specialized in pickup engine rebuilds.

His rebuilds passed emissions with better numbers than the new models for sale. Yet the bureaucrats at CARB managed to put him out of business. He went unemployed, moved back to OK where he went on welfare. A thinking person might suspect that some bureaucrat at CARB was taking a bribe to fail the rebuilds while passing the new models. Takes only the stroke of a pen.

I had a MB 300 TD wagon with old refrigerant. A new A/C unit was $$$$, and they didn't grandfather in thousands of cars. Rather than pay for a new A/C, sold the otherwise perfect car.

Kill the infrastructure and you don't have to mandate.

EV does not suit my combination of DD and road trips, nor canyon carving v. 0-60.

I hear you Terry and don't disagree. I'm in Canada and the Feds are mandating that all new light duty vehicles sold be zero emmisions by 2035. I want to avoid EVs personally for as long as I can and my Macan is my favorite daily driver to-date that works for our year round climate. That is why I am interested in buying another one as late in the cycle as possible

I would bet they end up making both for a long time. Why wouldn't they?
