A touch screen is visually clean, but in no manner is it more ergonomic, intuitive nor accurate to operate than a button.
I also sprung for the ridiculously priced aluminum shift ****- it's something you touch on every drive.

Yep, those are very nice. I have one on my 981BS, along with the leather gaiter from the 6-speed cars, but the Macan was purchased "off the rack" and didn't include it.

I prefer the button too. It’s actually what made me pick the 21 over 22 Macan.
