If I could hear one installed, I would be way more likely to buy one....anyone have one in the NJ area?

 

I have this same question as I wait for allocation on a Macan build.
Do I need to get the Bose system upgrade or can I save $900 and apply that to a Musicar package based on the non-Bose configuration.

 

How can I get on the next group order?

 

Any more updates? Any group buys? I've seen many 992 posts but this is the only post I've seen for Macans. I have a 24' GTS with BOSE and want to upgrade..... you know.... "no highs, no lows, must be BOSE!"

 

I'm curious on details too (including group buys). I saw the prices per stage but what's included? I think I found their website onlien but the online store is "under construction" so I have no idea what's included for the prices.

How does the sound quality compare to the Burmester option, and is it significantly cheaper?

A couple of, hopefully, easy questions for @12v Nick!

Firstly, is the existing boot-mounted Bose subwoofer left in place, and contributing to the overall sound balance, or is it effectively taken out of circuit when the Bose amplifier is replaced with the Musicar Stage 2 or Stage 3 DSP amp?

And secondly, does the DSP tune change when upgrading from Stage 2 (using the standard OEM mids and woofers) to the Stage 3 installation (using the new Musicar mids and woofers)?

This upgrade looks fantastic. I did a similar upgrade to the Bose system in my 2017 Camaro ZL1 convertible replacing the speakers with Morel Hybrids, added JL sub, replaced amp with Rockford Fosgates, and used Helix DSP/GM650 interfaces to keep stock head unit.

Questions:

* I see the Morel logos on the mid/bass speakers - are the tweeters Morel too?
* Who is the OEM of the amp and do you have output power specs to share., Is it louder?

I live in Portland, OR, so if I get a Macan, I intend to “cheat” and have you install it!
