8A4 Park Assist (Front and Rear) with Surround View
Anyone have this issue?

It's annoying enough that the rear view camera is next to worthless (even when not obscured by the constant rear end filth).
Really, my 2012 Ford Edge rear view is light years ahead in video quality and predictive guidelines.
I'm hoping for a software flash or update- since all of the cameras, in every view selected (of 6), look like fun house mirrors.

My son got a Mazda a couple of years ago and I was impressed by the back up camera system. I was hoping my new Macan would be at least as good. It's not. Kind of sad.
I'd like to know if there is a fix, but somehow I doubt it. Porsche does a great job if you're moving forward, but going in reverse doesn't seem to be a priority.

I have the 2018 Macan GTS - my cameras all work fine, even the rear camera. Might want to have your dealer take a look... As an aside, I'm qlways surprised about how many negative comments there are about the backup camera. Mine is every bit as good, if not better, than my wife's 2015 Toyota 4Runner and much better than a friends Honda.

Looks great to me but never had a car with said back up camera or whatever. What is the difference comparing other cams? Just curious?

My issues isn't with the rear view camera...it is with the surround view. The parking lines shown are not parallel, leading to the question of 'which one is actually correct, or are either correct?' As such, I always end up cockeyed in the parking spot.

I suspect that's an adjustment in the PCM...

My camera displays are distorted and not much help avoiding obstacles in tight situations.
The system was initially distortion- free, but the back up cam is poor resolution and not predictive.
Will have a dealer check it out.
