Searched for this and didn’t find anything so thought I’d add this thread. My son dropped an AirPod down next to the rear seat belt receptor. It was not visible and I could barely feel it with a fingertip but could not extract it with my fingers or a telescoping magnet. If you sit in the rear seat and pull up hard on the cushion it will pop up. There is not much if any gap to jam your fingers into but if you really cram them in then pull hard while pushing with your feet it will come out. Then go to the other side and do the same and you can lift the whole thing up.
