Well having sold my 991TT and my 13 GTS Cayenne and consolidated into a 22 Macan GTS, I can't say I regret the moves. I love the car. It obviously isn't anything like my 911 and much more nimble than my Cayenne, but it is fun. And it drives incredibly well. Not too keen on the braking yet. Maybe better pads. But I know I really got my money's worth out of the PPF on my other cars. I need some recommendations on a provider for the PPF. Anyone have any suggestions for me? Sure hope they come out with a Cobb for it.

I see you're in Houston? A lot of people use Xpel Houston. Congrats on the new car.

What is the recommended replacement time for ppf now? I recently paid more than expected to get some removed, i.e. 100yrs of touch up money.

Xpel 10 yr is the best one !!
u really don’t need to cover anything besides the hood!
Confirm one WIDE pc.only!!
Also make sure u confirm “ wrapped edges”
I paid $650 for that 2 yrs ago….

I did a xpel plus opti-coat ceramic on my 964 as it is a pretty low mile original paint car and I drive the heck out of it (5000 miles last year). With the Macan I just did the ceramic and I am happy with that. 11,000 miles since last August and no stone chips so far so I am in the camp of a touch up here and there over the next few years and just enjoy it. Have fun!!!

I have had several cars done with Xpel. I switched from Opti-Coat to Owner's Pride (OP) for the ceramic and have found it to be much better than Opti-Coat as far as how it looks and beads. Much more dramatic. And OP's wash products are much nicer than Optimum's. I think I have heard OP was started by a guy who left Optimum.

The installer is more important than the brand of film (as long as it’s one of the top products) and ppf installers generally have a preference re which film. My installer uses Suntek and it’s been great on many of our cars.

Hi Randy, I am also from Houston and also with a '22 GTS. What installer/pricing did you end up choosing for your vehicle?
I second the COBB tune, it needs a bit more grunt for my daily needs lol. I am coming from a tuned M4.
I also second the braking, what does yours feel like?? I feel like it isn't as ON/immediate as it should be.

In case you haven't done it yet, I also HIGHLY recommend going to John at Gulf Coast Autoshield. He has done several of my vehicles, including my 991.2 Carrera T and two weeks ago our new 22 Macan S. He did an outstanding job on thje Macan! The full hood is wrapped in one piece and all the edges wrapped, along with the rest of the front, mirrors, and the leading edge of the windshield. I also recommend doing the ExoShield for the windshield, as it has proven to be great at preventing rock chips.

we can look to other car makers with both ice and electric / hybrid models and see what's going on.
My guess (im too lazy to do the research) is that the depreciation value does not change much, if at all. As long as the demand for a ice macan does not go down, the depreciation should remain the same.
At this juncture, the wait time for a ice macan is what, 6 months ?
