2022 Build & Delivery dates
#122
I changed my order to a GTS. After all the upgrades, Its only costing 5grand more. My lazy SA, never even brought it up in the brief conversations I had with him. I was advised by a Porsche friend to go GTS. I'm going to try a different dealer too.

Do not know if everyone saw the thread, but apparently on the configurator there is a not that any car with a production date after January 18th will come with manual steering wheel adjustment.
it is hidden announcement under the 14- and 18-way seat information.
I have a 2/25 production date, and have asked my SA about this.

Hello All,
New member here. Excited to join the Porsche brand officially in the next year. I have been monitoring this forum for quite some time and have really appreciated the additional knowledge all forum contributors have provided to me, so Thanks everyone!
Deposit put down end of October, received an Allocation Jan. 15th. Build originally slated for April production with end of June delivery.
Then my SA hit me with a bunch of "not great" news:
- I decided to build the Macan for "me", so I went the PTS route. This pushed my build into June with late August delivery (so much for having a full Summer with the Macan).
- I originally wanted the GT design wheels, which now have a "stop order" on them. Specifically on this point, does this mean Porsche has found a safety issue with these rims? Will they ever be available for purchase? I'd asked my SA to update me on the "why", but it's been radio silence.
Being new to the brand, are there any other curveballs I should be worried about?

Eh-um, supply chain shortage?
funny though because I have a cracked Porsche rim in my storage unit. Looks to be related to someone backing into a curb not poor quality rims (my Macan was former loaner Porsche Beverly Hills.) Porsche quality and reliability is tops on most surveys.

Last reported change was V260 on 12/20
Got a VIN, but haven't heard a thing since. Maybe they ran out of paint.
Latest of the several ETA's was 4/1.
Yes, that is April Fool's Day. It doesn't worry me because I expect it will change 2 or 3 more times.

I can only imagine this comes from ripples of parts outages. But I have had 5 or 6 ETA's.
I dressed it up [PNGUPUJ8].
If reports are accurate, waiting now includes some distress, as the Golf steering wheel adjuster fix, and the defeat of the ordered matrix headlights seem like extremely low-rent fixes on Porsche's part. Hope they have fixes planned for these option deletes.
If I manufactured steering wheel adjusters or programmed headlights, I would have clever people making aftermarket kits for both...

In a similar situation... got a VIN first week of December.... ETA April 22 now....

My ETA has changed several times. I am hoping it will change favorably and arrive before its ETA.
Certainly hoping the steering wheel adjustment issue is a quickly resolved shortage. Good luck on yours!

My lock date on the GTS was December 8 and I received my VIN last week. My dealership arrival date has went from March 18 to March 11 to February 25 as of this morning. Moving on up...

Sorry for the delay in posting some photos of my new Gentian S which I picked up a couple weeks. Sept allocation, built mid Nov, arrived mid Jan. Overall about 5 months from allocation to delivery.
Build was PNTYNFB5. MSRP $81,780. Really enjoying the leather with blue stitching, CF, 18w seats, GT steering wheel and the A/S.
Only mods right now have been mud flaps, smoked side markers and Pedal Commander which really helps with initial throttle response especially when in normal/comfort mode. Soul exhaust to be installed after break in period since I didn't get PSE ($3k) and will sound a lot better.
One thing that's bugging me is the back area (window, lower body and top spoiler) is a damn dust magnet! After a 15min drive to the store on clean paved streets, the back is dirty like the car been sitting in the garage for a week. Maybe it'll be better after the PPF and ceramic coating next week.

My 2022 GTS has the same problem with the rear getting extremely dirty. I just had a full PPF and ceramic coating but it doesn’t look like that is going to help. I don’t remember reading of this problem for other Macans.
