Wow cool. Now I am sort of disappointed b/c my dealer told me Porsche was not building any S's or GTS's for US market until January 2022 (Only Base models until the end of 2021)....and March 2022 is the earliest I could see one. We ordered a 2021 at the beginning of the year and after 2 months Porsche rejected the order due to multiple parts and paint shortages on our configuration...been waiting.... Ours is due in April.

Ordered Macan Base October 1. Just got a call from my SA saying that car will be in the dealership next week! However Bose chip needs to be put in and he said that he does not think car will be released until chip is put in. He is sketchy on the Bose chip as he said Porsche is really not providing any real meaningful information. He sounded frustrated. I am in NY btw.

There has been no mention of it thus far. We will see what is missing when it gets to the dealer. I have only recently learned about the Bose chip shortage on this forum. I have also read about cars being delivered with manual tilt/telescoping steering wheel. I will post pics and let everyone know as soon as it arrives. There are GTSs in australia at the dealers already. I saw a video of one on macan forum.

No open allocations for Maine or one dealer in NH that I visited for Macan S. Unsure of when they would receive one but expected no sooner than mid summer delivery. Found a Midwest dealer near my in-laws that had an open allocation with lock of end of Nov. Took it and modified to my build. Expect early March at dealer.

My 22 GTS will be arriving at the Houston port on Dec 15. St Louis dealer believes he will be able to deliver it to me between Christmas and New Years. They said my car is missing the Bose component but they have a work around. My guess is they take it out of 1 of the 10 2021 Base Macans they have in inventory. Missouri charges a full years worth of Personal Property tax on whatever cars you own on January 1. Personal property tax on a Macan GTS is approximately $2,500. Unfortunately I will have to delay delivery until January 2 given I am not willing to pay $2,500 to own the car 1 week earlier. It’s going to be hard to wait, I think I will be spending a lot of time at the dealer in that 1 week. 😀

So SA says he expects delivery next week and he will not know what is missing until it delivers. I would imagine if the Bose chip was missing it would not pass EPA inspection. Will update when I learn more or take delivery of the car.
