Depends on how you drive and how many turns one encounters regularly. I don't track and I love it. LOL! There's a whole section on the Macan Forum dedicated to explaining the real pros and cons.

Not completely sure. All I know is that it will move the wheel which isn't something I'm interested in.

For the PTV. Im not sure how much effect it will have without tracking, but I just wanted to add all the performance options to get the best driving version of the car.

Thats fair. I feel like not getting this option will also make sure I dont get distracted while driving anyway so it could have another positive.

Don't worry, you won't regret it! The only supposed downside in addition to the cost is increase in rear brake wear which I actually haven't noticed myself. Perhaps that is more prevalent with the rear engine 911 where the weight is behind the rear wheels.

Hopefully I dont experience that either haha. But my plan is to keep it for 2-3 years so I dont think it will be that prevalent even if it does cause the extra wear.

PTV is overkill on a SUV unless you’re planning on taking corners/roundabouts like a madman. From what I have read, the Macan GTS is a great handling small SUV with included PASM, adaptive air suspension, and stability management alone. If you want every gadget to max perform your SUV, PTV will help slightly. Get ready to change out your rear brakes more often with PTV. To each his own.

I wish I could have a 2nd car just to have fun in, but unfortunately I dont have that luxury so I need something that is as fun as can be while still carrying 5 people and any luggage for road trips

It realIy shouldn't. I've had mine for almost 4 years now and my rear brakes aren't wearing particularly faster. My experience is actually first hand and not hearsay. Like you, I wanted the most handling performance available as well.

I understand. In any case, the Macan GTS appears to be a very fun & capable “hot hatch like” vehicle. I wanted a RS4 but since we are deprived here in the states, Macan GTS looks like a great alternative. In any case, enjoy your GTS when you take delivery. Looks like a nice build.

I thought all "S" "GTS" models come with PTV as did mine. Did something change?

Only as an option ($1500), none come standard with PTV+.
