Even though there are always design elements that run through all (or most) Porsches, there's at least some kind of major difference that makes each car feel at least slightly special and to have its own character & personality on the inside...dashboard layout, seat detailing, etc. You just don't get that with Audi, which is a shame (and I like Audis a lot...I've had four of them in the last 20 years and my wife has a new SQ5).

How is that any different from porsche? You can have a 50k cayenne or a 200k cayenne. Interior is the same.

Ah I didn't realize that.

No, I mean across models...the interior of the RS6 Avant isn't significantly different from, say, a Q3. There seems to be more variety in the Porsche interior...you're not going to get the 911's interior in a base Macan (for example) because that interior is unique to the 911.

I think its also that they rarely offer colors outside of black for interior. And even om the cheapest models you can spec an S line package and get basically the same interior as the RS model just with no alcantara.

Bump,
I'm not seeing PCCB on the US configurator, sorry if my search missed posts but surely they would be available?

PCCBs have been replaced by PSCBs.

Steel brakes are standard, ceramic brakes are an option in the rest of the world but we miss out on something again?

PSCBs are standard on US GTS now. The option box for them on the configurator is only to change the caliper color from red to black for $900. PSCBs are optional on the other trims at $3500. PCCBs are no longer available. I don't know if it's really missing out or not. PSCBs are supposed to give the near dustless performance of PCCBs but without the noise and less expensive rotors at the expense of slightly longer stopping distances than PCCBs but still shorter than irons. I suspect the take rate on PCCBs on Macans in the US was very low so Porsche nixed them for efficiency.

I tried to get PCCB on my Macan because I like them so much on the 911TT. Sales guy said, stay with the standard PSCB, you'll be happy. What he didn't say was, he can spec PCCB, but you'll have to wait longer for your delivery if you want PCCB.

Seeing how the vehicle is 4400 lbs, don't know if I would know the difference.

How does your sales guy spec PCCB on a Macan if the option is not listed?

If your question is for me, PCCB was available at the time I ordered, Oct 2020. You had to drill down the menus to find it. A guy here from Italy got it on his.

Anyone know if the insulated glass option adds weight to the car? Separately, I am confused as to the size of the fuel tank. On Porsche’s website it show 20 gallons in one place in 17 gallons in another place. Anyone know for sure which is correct?

I'll beat this dead horse one last time, I ordered a GTS today and was told that the copper content of the ceramic brakes (rotors or pads I don't know) for some models is too high for US regulations.

Dealer could be blowing smoke, there is so much written and confusion.

1. PCCB in my 120K mile experience, emit almost zero dust.
2. The articles I read refer mainly to dust from all kinds of brakes, so mostly steel.
3. I have not found anywhere that it says PCCB contain any copper.
4. Why do ROW and 911 models still get PCCB, even in the US?

This all started years ago in CA and WA

An article in Porsche news room actually says the insulated glass is LIGHTER than the regular glass
