We have a 2015 Macan S. 96,000 kms mainly highway driven in the winter. It’s been very reliable. The only issue we’ve had was an O2 sensor which I replaced myself. Still solid, no rattles. Will need brakes and plugs soon…

one of the better built vehicles out there.Quality parts, but like any car company sometimes they have issues as those pre 2019 macan years have oil leaks from top end .

Good point .My CV boots were always going on the beemer along with the coolant expansion tank and water pump. But i got 200 k miles on that 2002 330 xi beemer. And I expect the same from my 2021 Macan S already have 45K miles on it. Love this car though miss the standard non turbo giddy app of a regular aspirated engine. The turbo lag from a stop sign to go is infuriating when trying to pull out quickly into on coming traffic with a turbo that is not aided by a supercharger.

Quality parts? Most of the Macan is made from plastic. Popping the hood will reveal this. I promise you these cars out of warranty will be complete nightmares. I would never own a modern day Porsche out of warranty!

Although I've managed to maintain my 2012 CSBE out of warranty I'm not looking forward to the same with our Macan. The PDK alone is reason to dump any Porsche once the warranty has expired that is unless one has money to burn. So as soon as the CPO is up on our Macan it's history. PS for us 2.0 folks there's always the water pump too.

One of the better built cars out there today.Every auto builder is using plastic but where the components count the gauge of the material used is substantial with Porsche. Does the old adage “ they don’t build them like they use to “ apply ? Sure. Warranties are for first ,second and third model year vehicles. And the overly paranoid or financially benefited sellers of such warranties. But hey , each to his own . My wife’s Honda civic is full of plastic and it’s a great vehicle. Wouldn’t buy an extended warranty for that either. My washing machine is full of plastic.Wouldn’t buy an extended warranty for that . Most warranties are cons and the standard warranties that come with vehicles these days are fairly adequate in themselves. If you want to blow an additional 4 or five grand up front go ahead.

Always serviced timely at Audi. I drove it like I stole it.
If the new Macan has the same PDK tranny, I'm all in.
The Macan is a better car in just about every category and I loved my Audi - Porsche just does it better.
That being said, I will definitely keep an updated warranty.

I hope you got the extended warranty. Best of luck with it!

I have a 2021 S and I just had my transfer case replaced. Posted a while ago about a slight vibration between 25-30 MPH going up a hill. Went for its second service and told them about it (had previously reported it at the first service). The dealer just went ahead and replaced the transfer case under warranty. Much better now and the service rep couldnt really say why it went bad. I guess it can just happen, but will keep an eye on it - hopefully this isnt an ongoing problem.
