Which would you rather own: 2018 Turbo w/ Performance Package or GTS
Hi, I'm new to RL and shopping for my first Porsche, a Macan. I'm torn between buying a 2017 or 2018 GTS or a Turbo w/ a performance package. They would both be CPO'd and purchased from a Porsche dealer.
I've test driven a couple of GTS's and loved them. And while I've not been able to find a Turbo with a Performance Package near me, I have driven a Turbo w/ sport exhaust and liked it almost as much as the GTS. Would I like the Performance Package that much more? What would you rather own?
Thanks for your time.

Thanks, that's where I'm leaning, I think. The '17-'18 Turbos w/ PP I've found have more miles for the price than the GTS's, but seem like a better bet in terms of uniqueness, performance and possibly holding their value a little better.

The GTS reportedly has "sportier" handling and suspension. For $1,195 you can "chip it up" to 410 hp and 485 torque from www.softronicsoftware.com. I currently have a 2014 911 but I'm considering moving to a Macan, either GTS or Turbo. Last weekend I drove a 2020 Macan Turbo and while it was really nice, it didn't blow me away. The sales rep said I'd probably like the GTS better as it "feels" more like a performance vehicle, more like my 911. I wasn't unhappy with the Macan Turbo, it was very comfortable, very responsive and very fast and I could definitely feel the advantage of 4WD in tight cornering. But it just have the oomph of the Carrera. Guess I'm looking for Carrera performance with more room and more cargo capacity. The sales rep says the Macan GTS is the closest I'll get. Kicking it up another 50 hp and 75 torque might just be the ticket! Just might also look at the Tesla Model 3 - not really convinced all electric is really here yet but the performance is intriguing!
