Hi,
I currently have a 2018SQ5 and looking maybe buying a 2016 Turbo with 76K KM on it.
Ho you guys feel about reliability
Thanks
Get Porsche warranty for 2 years. And then it will be reliable. Yes its expensive but trust me these cars are very expensive to fix when they do go wrong!
Transfer cases and timing chain cover oil leak. Those are the pricey items. If they were already addressed, then maybe you are okay with no warranty or limited warranty.
Transfer case warranty was extended out (7 yrs). Otherwise, try to get a warranty for those and anything else.
I have 44k miles on mine and transfer case was replaced. That's it. Everything else has no issues on the car so far.
Should you or anyone buy a Macan outside the normal warranty period, ENSURE BEFORE YOU BUY IT, the warranty you’re looking at will cover a $7,000 repair for timing chain oil leakage.
Geico ensured me they would under their MBI plan at $22/mo. Signed up as soon as I took possession on mine bought new.
Btw, developed the leak at 2/30k. Cost me virtually nothing through Porsche dealership. And also keep in mind, the TC has a 6/100 again, though Porsche should it fail.
I have a 2017 GTS, bought in march, has aprox 30k on it, now have 70k on it, has been great, no issues. will put 300k on this car, as I drive aprox 70k per year. I dont beat the car, as its a work ride, no launch control.lol I thinks its going to be reliable.
