Ebikes must have a hitch mount rack. I use a Thule for our (2) E-Bikes which combined weight is 115 lb on the rack. This rack is expensive, but never fails to carry both well.
What is everyone using for hitch mounted bike carrier?
I have a 2023 GTS - OEM trailer hitch - Need to transport two e-mountain bikes - one is 53 lbs. and the other 57 lbs.
From what I see here and have seen online and in person seems the Kuat Piston Pro X is the way to go (or the Pro without the tail lights coming soon). Seems price and weight (67 lbs) are the only down side.
Is the Kaut worth the premium price over the other options? Other options I am looking at include Kuat NV 2.0 and Sherpa along with the Thule EX Fold XT, the 1 Up Equip D Double & 1 UP 2" Super Duty Double.
Anyone using any of these or others and have comments on what you like and what you don't?
I bought the Porsche branded Thule for my mountain ebikes which is great because of how compact it is and folds and fits in a heavy duty zip up bag that fits in the trunk when not in use. I have not used since I bought a truck for my weekend chores. I'm willing to sell it for a discount if you're interested. PM me. This is made for ebikes is why I bought it. Both of my ebikes weigh over 50 lbs
I have the 1UP, as do many others on my bike team, but the Kuat Piston is a great product as well.
Also give some thought as to security options. There's a lot of chatter in the WA state MTB Facebook groups about bike theft, even with locked bikes. Thieves are using battery-powered angle grinders to get through locks and chains.
Is it just the Thule Easyfold rebranded? I am in the market to pick one up. I switch up between the Macan and Model Y so the easy fold and carry helps. Happy to discuss to get it off your hands.

Porsche version of the Thule Easy fold rack. Also less expensive than the Thule brand. What's up with that?
I dug into this learned that 1) they are indeed the same rack, and 2) the difference in price is because the Thule version comes with the loading ramp and the Porsche version does not. I think that explains the difference in the weight of the rack assembly too.
All this said, it appears Thule has just introduced a new version of the EasyFold called the Epos. It looks simpler, has slightly higher weight capacity, uses a different mount arm, but still uses the EasyFold architecture. Same price but the Epos does NOT include the loading ramp as the EasyFold does, it’s another $99. As of this writing they are not widely available yet but became available from Thule direct on June 15. I ordered one today.
