I have personally upgraded my brakes and rotor to Carbon Fiber Ceramic Brakes and i have gotten rid of the Brake Dust all together. Strongly recommend them

This project is hardly unobtaniun but depending on where you live and who does the work it can jump up into the $2k+ price range.
I am taking one for the team here. While brake dust is bothersome. There is some sacrifice for stopping. Either a softer brake pad, which gets on the wheel. Or a harder brake pad, that wears your rotor surface, that gets on your wheel. Either way, your wheel is getting dirty. I have 2o's Spyders, black and silver. They would be difficult to document dust accumulation. Soooo. I have some 19" gold BBS's on my STi. I fully cleaned the wheel, outside, no barrel. Though I did OCD off the car mid summer. I have ceramic coated 1/2 the wheel. Two coats. (clean, apply, buff, repeat) I have about 500kms on it. I have another trip planned for next weekend. about another 500kms. So next week I will take some sunny day pictures for this thread. BIG smoke,... Dr BIG smoke mad scientist

For the base and Smodels, I would strongly suggest EBC Red Stuff. They are ceramic pads. But you could never tell the difference I have three qualifiers:

1. Stops good cold
2. No noise
3. Little-to-no brake dust.

I've ran these pads on a 2009 C63 sedan, a 2009 GT500, A 2009 BMW 650i sport model and a 2009 C63 coupe with AMG Development Package. You could lock the wheels up with these should you choose. I now own a 2018 Macan TT. They're not available for this model. Only EBC Yellow Stuff. I'll probably go with Porterfield RS4-S pads when the time comes.

Here you go. One side of the tape is two coats of ceramic. One is nothing. Not telling you what side is coated. Is this worth a 8oo+ ceramic coating charge?
1000 kms of stop and go, highway, but a drive or two in the rain. Not a porsche, but Brembo's similar to a GTS or Turbo Macan.

2014 Cayenne. Two weeks, not even one tank of gas (so < 400 miles), suburban driving, one rainfall for a couple of hours. OEM pads installed by the dealer - and this is the same experience I had before the pads were changed due to wear.

I'm not sure what kind of pads you're running, but if you're running factory pads from Porsche and want to keep your wheels clean, then a change of pads, some coating, or both, are in order.

Just trying to get an Apples to Apples assessment. While building an "S" I see they offer the Porsche Surface coated Brakes for $3,500.

I know on my second set of pads for my 911 I'll get a different set of pads to decrease dust.

THX.
I'll be honest. Our Macan S has a bit more brake dust than our 996TT. However, the Macan is a daily driver and the 996TT is the "fun" car.

Personally, I would save the dough and just do a nice wash to include the wheels on the Macan and save the money.

Our Macan S dust badly, as does my Carreras S. Black wheels on the Macan show it just as much as the silvers on the 911. Low dust aftermarket pads are $300 for a set, vs $3,500 for Surface Coared.....

Unfortunately for many Porsche dropped the PCCB's for the '21 and beyond Macans. In my opinion they were worth the money.
