Default 60K Spark Plug Change DIY

Changed spark plugs at 60K (last changed at 30K). Attached are pics of a couple of them. They look OK. As far as DIY goes it was easy. Used Porsche plugs, about $100. I had various sized extensions and found combination that worked so I did not need to remove the torque arm on passenger side. Used bungee cord to hold coolant tank out of the way and that made the rear drivers side a non issue. A few tips I read that helped a lot- use a strap to wiggle under the coil (after connector removed) to assist in lifting the coil out/off and a bit of baby powder makes the coil slide easily on the plug when reinstalling. It took a leisurely 2 hours. As with many DIY's the first step (removing the engine cover) seems like the hardest.

Great summary. Thanks for the tips / tricks.

Did you also use any wobble / universal joint socket extensions, or just a group of straight socket extensions?

I did use a universal for one, don’t recall which, either under torque arm or drivers side rear. It gave me just the little bit of offset needed. All others were combinations of straight extensions.
