Default Trying Not to Bug my SA - Order

For clarity if I have a commission # and the Build sheet can I assume that Porsche will stick to the dates they have assigned? Today is the planned date for v250

Nope, you can't assume Porsche will stick to the dates. My last 4 cars arrived 3 weeks early

I've ordered two cars and both times the dates were way off. One of the cars exited production a week earlier than planned, but then it didn't actually get onto a cargo ship until MUCH later than planned - ultimately delivery of that one was probably 4-5 weeks later than planned. Expect to be biting your nails in anticipation right up until the end

why would you try not to bug your SA? He works on commission and should earn it and make sure your qs are answered and your car is built the way you want. You shouldn't have to rely on a forum for info on the build of your car...we have no liability.
Good luck with your new car!

When did your order go in? If before the COVID shutdown then those dates may not be correct

Best to ask your SA for an updated schedule. Production dates do slide. The date could slide because of supplier issues or other builds bumped your date.

In Northern Ca. the SA's have been furloughed due to Covid 19 hence why I asked the forum -

In my case in northeast Ohio the sales manager has been fielding my queries since my SA is furloughed. I am kind of hoping she is back when the car is delivered in a month or so. She did all the hard work in helping me buy my dream car and I think she would enjoy seeing it get delivered to me. I would bug them, if you don't want to call email them that way they can answer at their convenience. My guess is the dates are fluctuating. I know in my case my car was in production a week earlier than projected and now I am hoping it is on a cruise this coming week.

Porsche schedules are dynamic; especially now days after the shutdown. There are 3 date columns; Planned, Expected & Actual. Only the Actual counts.

My experience w/ SA's is that once the order is placed you become unimportant. They're looking for new business and fresh commission. Post sales customer service is simply not on the top of their list.

You can always call 1-800-PORSCHE and speak to customer relations. By providing them the commission number and verifying your info, they can tell you the last V status...their info may not be as detailed as what the SA can pull up, but it's another resource to use nonetheless. I called them along the way on my Cayenne Hybrid and they were actually able to give me the VIN before the SA could. Towards the end of this month, I'd honestly give them a ring for an update and to find out your VIN.

My SA was a jerk and I gave him a lousy critic on the survey.
