Macan S Gas Mileage

I know what the published EPA figures are, especially the Highway at 23 mpg. BUT, what is the REAL mpg on the highway for a Macan S?
My 991 usually runs about 27 - 28 mpg. I got 31.7 mpg on one leg going to Parade in Lake of the Ozarks. And, our 2010 M-B E350 has gotten around 29- 30, usual is about 27 also.
Your experience will be helpful and appreciated.

So this is a question we had when purchasing too....
Our Macan S (see sig) gets on AVERAGE....25-26mpg.
Any MPG values will obviously depend on the driver.
So when I drive it....I get 19 mpg and that is hitting the "skinny pedal" and racing to every light! When my wife drives it (her car) she is WAY more "conservative" and gets upwards of 27 mpg.
So if you are a "regular" driver that does not need/want the acceleration or thrill of "pushin' the pedal to the metal" you should get in the mid 20 MPGs....if you drive it like I do then you will suffer on the MPG.
Overall, I would say our '17 Macan S is a mid 20 MPG when my wife drives it...hell it is her vehicle....but when you PUSH it, the MPGs will be in the teens.

Macan S at mid-teens city to 20 highway.
Personally, I don't understand the complaints about low mileage. Some of brightest engineers in the world work for Porsche. You don't think that they could build an extremely high MPG engine if they wanted to? They don't want to. Their customers don't want them to. The customer base that they're building for wants performance over mileage. It's a trade off. Give me power over mileage any day of the week. The only thing holding me back is cost, or I'd take a Macan Turbo or 992 GTS with their poor MPG over my current rides.
Buy the BMW if you're concerned about gas mileage, but don't kid yourself that they're equivalent.

Ok, I just got a 17 gts, I have been playing around with the averages. I drive 60 to 70k a year, this is my work car. I have put 5k on it over the last month. What i have found
1. I get aprox 25 on highway running 79mph. non sport mode, just get it and go.
2. i usually do 400 miles a day and all highway, mostly flat or rolling hills. stop and go kills this thing
3. If you put your foot into it, its a pig, mid teens at best
4. I get better milage on 89 octane that 93. i have also tried mixing. seems the 89 will retard timing just enough to increase mpg, but you may lose hp, I get aprox 2 mpg higher on 89
5. my car has the 20 inch spyder wheels. i run the tires at max recomendation
6. Over 79 mph you lose 5 mpg average.
7. if you can do 70, without losing your mind, i can average 27 mpg, and i find cruise control does not change this. The sweet spot is about 73/74 where the car seems to settle and maintain without getting in and out of the pedal
I know i am crazy, but coming from diesel work vehicles, i am use to getting 40 mpg, but I really like this macan. Its a cool little crossover, and fun to drive, great in the rain, and just high enough to cut glare at night. Hope this helps.
