Maybe I'm missing something but can you close the trunk with the key fob? My wife would like to be able to close the trunk once she removes her bags from the trunk.
This is a standard feature on other cars we have and we were surprised it isn't available witrh the Macan.

Has anyone installed the PLUSOBD Window and Trunk Closer on a 2020 Macan? Easy installation? Warranty?

Any other options?

AFAIK, this is not an available option on the Macan. Some might consider it's not being available as a safety feature in that you should be observing the lid as it closes to make sure it doesn't hit anything it should not. Being able to remotely do this means you could close the trunk lid without necessarily being able to watch it.

There are aftermarket options. but I have no experience with any of them hence cannot comment on that aspect.

On my 2019 sitting in the driver seat you can close the trunk by holding the trunk open button down. Doesn't appear to work from the key fob. Only from the driver button on the door next to the window lock and rear window controls.

Very interesting. I am pretty sure this is not mentioned anywhere in at least the paper version of the manual. Thank you for sharing - I'll now have to try that out!

I recall this being codeable. Would have been nice on Sunday when my kid got hold of the fob and opened the tailgate from inside the house. I had to run out in sleet to close it.

Just tried it and that worked perfectly on the 2019 Macan base: ignition on (motor not running), door closed, transmission in park, and as long as you keep pressing, it keeps closing. If you lift up your finger it stops and when you push down again and hold it down, the lid continues to close until it eventually stops and engages the latch.
I believe I also had my seat belt fastened, but cannot recall with certainty.

Note added: Seat belt does not evidently need to be fastened. All other parameters remained the same.

Thanks this could do it. Hope it's available in the US.
Love their reference to updating the feature as we had 15 yo cars that had it.
