I use the extraction method on all my vehicles, easier, less mess, and any remaining oil is negligible compared to the 5 or so quarts of new oil.
Note that the oil pan has a different shape for 2.0 transverse (Golf) versus longitudinal 2.0 (Audi Q5, A4, A5, A6, Macan) engine installations, so the amount of residual oil may be different than what was measured in the above Golf video.
