Entry and Drive Doesn't Recognize Key, Will Unlock/Lock Door, Won't Start Engine
Hi! I'm a new Macan owner and hoping someone can help me with this Entry and Drive problem. Today, I went to start the engine on my 2015 Macan S and got the "Attention No key found in vehicle" error. The key was in my purse on the passenger seat, like it always is. So, I removed the "dummy key" from the ignition and put my key fob into the ignition, started it up and drove to work. After work, I used the key fob to remotely unlock the hatch. I was about 20 feet away and it worked fine. I tried to start the vehicle with the dummy key in the dash and again got the "Attention No key found in vehicle" error. This time, the key was in my pocket. So again, I had to start it with the key fob. The same thing happened with my husband's key once about 3 months ago.
Anyone run into this problem and know why it's happening and how to fix it?
