I don’t know how Porsche’s (well, Audi's) gasoline filters will work, but my experience with diesel particle filters on two Audi cars is that they are a pain, especially if one uses the car mainly for short distances.
Geez, that sounds pretty terrible for performance. Is this coming on the new models only for vehicles sold in the Euro market, or will US bound Euro makes be equipped with them too?

I assume most people will just remove them, yes?

Not at all; most people are not petrolheads like us and they won’t even notice a difference of seven HP.

Saw the rear end of the new Cayenne yesterday and today walked past a Dodge Durango and just shook my head in disgust. While the new corporate rear is just copying the same crap at least they didn’t do the stupid piano black center console in the new Macan. They got that right and after seeing the monstrosity called a 992 and it’s new interior as well as mis-matching front and rear ,both of which are ugly ,I am so happy I bought a 2017 Macan GTS and have a gorgeous 993 RS tribute.
It is a shame that neither a new current gen Macan GTS or a 991.2 will be available to me for a Leipzig delivery when I go to Berlin and Poland next fall

Interesting, thanks. It didn’t really get into what impact it may have on performance/power output, and what measures may be taken by the manufacturer to offset that impact. Anyone know if this is really the sole reason for the reported lower power rating for the base 2019 Macan powertrain (and possibly others)?

I don't like the new butt, and the butt is the best looking part of this car.

Well. At least the particulate filter is also heavy. 😳

Can the aftermarket guys come up with a "particulate delete" exhaust system?
