Macan GTS Windshield
Hi guys and gals,
I have a 2018 Macan GTS and got a windshield crack that has extended all the way across the windshield.
My car has the rain sensing wipers as well as the surround view cameras. I was quoted $2100 for a new windshield by the dealer saying the car needs “recalibration” after the change. The techs do these windshields in house now apparently and they are not out sourced.
Any one have any experience with replacing a windshield on a Macan GTS?
Any advice would be appreciated before I commit to a dealer replacement.

Camera between the license plate lights in the bumper.

I just had the windshield replaced on my wife's 18 GTS. It also has the rain sensors and lane departure. Safelite performed the replacement and commented that the sensors may need recalibration. Didn't notice any change in how things functioned. Took it to the dealer and service advisor said "you don't actually need a recalibration, it's fine."
