Does anyone know when they will start taking orders? We were about to put in an order for a replacement but if it is arriving end of this year will wait for New macan.

Orders for the new, re-designed 2019 Macan will be available at the end of this year, depending on which model Macan you want. And deliveries will begin at the end of the first quarter, or April. Allocations for the current 2018 Macan will stop in August.

Well, I don't know who to believe. I was just told that the order I placed and locked on Friday will be MY2019, delivered Sept/Oct We will see.

It will be MY2018. Mom just locked in a Turbo and her build sheet said so at the top. Also both my dealer and hers in AL confirmed that orders for 2018 will cut off August (altho Porsche can change that last minute just like they refused to build me a Palladium even though the color was still available on the web page).
Simply ask your sales associate for your build sheet. You will see MY18.
Yes, the build sheet does say MY2018...I get that...BUT when asked point blank about it he INSISTED IT WILL be MY2019. We shall see. Its the biggest dealer in volume in SoCal. Who knows.

And you know that because why? You have more inside information then the GSM of the #1 Porsche dealer in CA?
If you want to believe that your build sheet which clearly states a model year of 2018 will somehow magically turn into a 2019 at delivery in October, that's your prerogative.
By the way, how do you think I knew your build sheet said 2018?

Because I said it did and I knew what it said anyway! And its not a question of it magically turning into 2019. As its been explained just minutes ago to me by the same GSM, Porsche has a way of moving orders forward at will when they get to the end of the build cycle. Not of this matters and its a waste of conjecture at this point. October is when I will know what I get.

Youll get an 18. Just a few months before the redesign.

Given the fact that pricing changes as do options, features, and colors, a lot of people would be very upset if they ordered one car and suddenly the manufacturer is telling them they are getting something different with different options package, colors, interior, for more money.
