My dealer has said same as CW. He has started taking orders but no allocations until late q4 with delivery end of year for some but majority will be q1 and later.. We are waiting to put an order in for a replacement of our 15 turbo. Assume it will be same as previous, first few that came in were preconfigured or limited configuration. We passed on those and had to wait till q1 for a spot to order ours.

My dealer told me I can order a 2019 in October. Deliveries at end of Q1 '19. Name is at the top of the list when it's ordering time.

Anyone knows if it is going to be a totally new platform or a mid-term redesign?

I'm debating this as well. We spec'd a GTS for my wife and the GSM at our local dealership (one of the bigger ones in the area) told us he can put the order in now for a MY18, or he can wait and believes his allocations for MY19 open up in about a month or so, for delivery in Q1 19. I'm wondering if it's worth waiting or just go for the MY18. Does anyone have insight into exactly what's changing for the new MY19? The GSM told me it shouldn't be much, and that he doesn't believe there is a mid-cycle refresh, but the spy shots & a few rumor articles about extra HP from new engine have me worried.

I think the rumors are legit. The changes look substantial. I'm waiting to order the 2019

New engines: check the engines in the current Panamera. Also the 4-cylinder gets the Golf R treatment, I believe

I suspect it's just a matter of time before the Macan comes out in E-Hybrid form also -- hopefully by MY2020. The Macan is similar in size to the "Mission E" Cross Turismo, so I assume that they are trying to figure a way to pack in 14 kWh worth of batteries (the current capacity in Panamera and Cayenne) into a Macan. I'll sign up for that Macan as soon as it's released, and trade in my Pan4 E-Hybrid. The Cayenne is too high for me; I see the Macan as a good cross between the Panamera and the Cayenne.

Decided to go forward with my wife's MY18 build. I don't like the new bar-across-the-back tail light design (personal preference), and didn't want to risk that being what I had to go with. Also we wanted to get the car before end of year.

She's really happy with the build config:
