The Macan has my attention but before I drive 90 minutes to test drive one I want to be sure I can fit my mountain bike in it *without* removing the wheels (rear seats folded flat & without a passenger). I'd ordinarily use a trailer hitch, but sometimes I take weekend trips to ride in which case I prefer to lock it inside my vehicle. Thanks in advance!

It's tight even when I remove my front wheel. If I had a dropper post it would be much easier to slide in rear first, which would be best. You should have little trouble going fork first, though.

I have not tried moving the passenger seat all the way forward, and fitting the bike in “diagonally”. A regular 26-incher might just squeeze in.
I doubt I could get my 29-niner or fat-tire bike in that way. It is a bit disappointing, since I’ve gotten bikes in other vehicles without removing the front wheel, including a Saab 9000, Lexus RX300, and a Prius. But taking the wheel off shouldn’t be a show-stopper.
