Thanks to Maserati, Pirelli now makes a matching set of all seasons for the 21" wheel that will fit on the Macan.
Tire Rack doesn't have a set of all seasons for the 21" wheel that are in stock, and I'm in need of tires now. These continentals last for a summer it seems.
My SA said that I should be able to do 265/40r21 on all corners, but I wanted to see if anyone could confirm that I wouldn't have an issue. They're 1" narrower and .6" larger in circumference than the 295/35r21.
Can anyone shed some expertise? I want to make sure I won't have an issue with the AWD system.
OE 21"s are 9" front and 10" rear. You can run 265 on all corners. The stock 265/295 stagger is a bit wide on a 9" while 265 on a 10" is a tad narrow. But in both cases the tire width is within the range for the wheel.
As long as the ratio of front/rear circumference is within ~5% of the stock ratio the various bits of embedded software that monitor wheel speeds won't notice a difference.
Macan S or Macan Turbo with 21" wheel in the back
OE size is 10x21 ET19
Look at the pictures below
This is the 9.5x21 wheel we built for the front with 265/40/21 tire
So if you put 265/40/21 tire in the back, the rear will just stretch a little bit since OE wheel is just 6mm wider each side. the .6" larger in circumference calculation is about right
