Default Major software issues

Hi there,

I am the owner of a Macan 4 EV and I am having software issues and I would like to know if somebody else is having the same issues as myself.
The car has been back to the dealer 3 times within 4000km but there is really no solution.
Here we go:
- Apple Carplay does not work when Wifi is on
- Navigation does not load the charts properly, it just blanks out the map on longer distances driven. It will show the road but the map itself just turns green.
- The location of the car in the app is never right, it keeps the previous position and does not update where the car actually is (not handy when planning a route on the app)
These things happen on a regular basis, even when the Sim card in the car is active and has reception.
The App can communicate with the car because I can see the charging status.
The Driving date in the app will update on a very irregular basis, sometimes taking more than a week to be updated
- Innodrive: does not work properly. The car never knows how fast it can actually drive once it has passed an intersection to resume to normal speed.
when the car sees a 70km/h sign on the exit of the highway, it abruptly slows down from 120km/h to 70 km/h making it dangerous for the car behind me.
Some signs are being ignored or read differently, making a smooth ride impossible.
- Lane assist, works fine in daytime, but the car will move from left to right within the lane during the night or with rainfall. Sometimes the car will make a violent move to the right when passing a highway exit you don't want to take.
- Parking sensors do not work properly: the distance they are activated is too short, so I already had an accident when backing out of a parking spot
- Parking sensors are triggered by snow and rainfall when you stop at an intersection

Other non-software issues include:
- Brakes make a cracking sound when using them lightly
- Brakes can be stuck when the car is parked in my garage, so when I back out, I need to use the accelerator to loosen the brakes from their "stuck" position
- Even with the Steering wheel assist the steering weel turns very heavy
- The Matrix LED's are reflecting very blinding at night when passing large roadside reflective signs disrupting nightvision
- When using the auto-park system the car makes loud noises as it will fall apart any second
- The position of the armrest in the center console is too far back to support my right elbow when driving
- My doors close difficult, they adjusted it a bit but now the gap between the doors and the rest of the car are not parallel anymore. Overall the car just does not "fit" right.
- All the little different shapes of the car inside and out, really make it hard to keep clean

I've driven Audi's for my whole life and have never encountered these kinds of issues with cars only costing half of my Macan, so I can say I am disappointed and really hope most of these issues will be solved as soon as possible.

I don't see any of these issues. Sounds like something in the car is generating RF noise and affecting the quality of reception.
The doors do take a firm shove to close.
Steering can feel heavy when you are discussing the turn with lane assist. I've turned lane assist off as its anoying but use ALK and adaptive cruise often. They seem to work well enough. What country do you live, some have roads tha lane assist has trouble with.

Thats a rub I have with LED headlights, the glare from road signs. Dunno why the matrix isn't adapting.

The CarPlay / WiFi is a known issue. I’ve experienced none of these other issues. I came from an audi gt and find thre level of software bugs lower on Macan and fit / finish about the same.

Crazy. Have zero of any of these issues. 5k miles had since November. Car has been fine, my wife drives he, and she doesn't tolerate weirdness. she said car is fine and everything works as expected. The innodrive works really well actually. Handles our canyon 2 lane roads w/o issue.

Sounds like my Macan 4. Picked it up in mid December, and it has been in the shop since January. No end in sight. Majorie software issues affecting drivability. Thinking of going the lemon law route.

The only time warranty has any teeth is during lemon period. After that, it's typically through mediation (there are exceptions and it varies by state), which sides with the factory about 95% of the time.

As stated the CarPlay/ WiFi is known. For me it was as simple as “forgetting” my house network, CarPlay worked fine since then

as for the nav showing wrong location- do you have an aftermarket dashcam or a hard wired radar detector? There have been issues with routing the wiring from those too close to the OEM gps wiring causing this issue.

It’s weird both that you gave so many issues with this car and you’ve had none at all with Audi.
In any event sorry to hear it.
As others have said, the WiFi issue is known and there are a couple effective workarounds (Check the threads on CarPlay). Most of the other issues I’ve nit seen in the forums, so I’m guessing they’re not commonly seen, but your comment on Lane Assist is an issue with all manufacturers Lane Assist to one degree or another. Tesla is about the worst (if you live in CA and are lane sharing on your motorcycle, be VERY careful around Teslas, lol), and I can’t say I’ve noticed it to the extent you describe, but there is some for sure.
I would imagine that a number of your issues are all due to the external sensors having some issue though, so maybe they can be addressed in one fell swoop if they find whatever the commonality might be.
Regarding the Innodrive thing, I’ve seen the car “lose” the sign it was obeying at intersections, but mine always reverts to what it was a short distance after that unless there’s a new sign. I’ve never seen it get confused by a sign that wasn’t meant for me, whether exiting the expressway, turning or just driving straightaway and I’ve never seen it get confused. Again, while a different sensor, it’s still a sensor issue so the mechanics should have some idea where to start.
I hope they find what’s wrong quickly for you!
