Was able to add my VIN to the My Porsche app
Used to not be able to, wanted me to upload proof of ownership but just tried today and it said I was registered as the owner and just needed to verify via SMS code. Not sure if that means it's closer to being delivered as last I've heard last Friday it's stuck at port.

Sorry for the delay. I was 9/20 and picked up 9/21. Perhaps working through the backlog of deliveries and software updates. Have seen several posts on long wait times to get the latest software to install.

If you do add your vehicle to the app, make sure you don't sign up for the charging connection yet because the free 1 year starts from the day you sign up. So wait on that until you actually get the car.

I don't believe that Porsche will process any order until the car is actually sold to you. For sheets and giggles I added my incoming Macan and signed up for Porsche connect services 10 days ago, even though delivery is still 1-2 months away. I got an ack message:
Dear Mr. gloryrd,
We have received your order with the order no.: 000000xxxx and will now check activation of your services.
Further details on the services are available in the Porsche Connect Store.
Please note that the time required to activate your services can be affected by external factors (e.g. areas with limited connectivity such as parking garages).

What you are referring to, the Porsche Connect thing also expires 4 years from signing up, so after 4 years you have to start paying for the 3mbps wireless service from Verizon. I'm hoping the eSim can be used elsewhere.

I am trying to add my 718 Cayman GTS to My Porsche and its asking for Proof of Ownership and Proof of Identity, is that necessary to be given to register your car? I still dont have the car which is getting shipped and thought will add it now and track the car

anyways mine is a used car and I am trying to add using VIN and after that it asks me to upload ownership and id details
