Default Mecan Turbo is Fast

Fun facts…The $106,960 the Macan Turbo has the same 0 to 60 MPH time as does $237,848 Lamborghinis Urus. Both are @ 3.1 seconds to 60.

In another acceleration comparison, the Mecan Turbo is faster than Ferrari Purosange which does 0-60 MPH @ 3.3 seconds — with its starting price of $393,850.

The Mecan Turbo is F A S T!!! It takes only 11.7 seconds for the 1/4 mile.

Nice to know, but is “mind-blowing” fast car like that really necessary with speed limits everywhere?
Even at 4.9 for Macan 4 is pretty fast enough for many.
I just wonder what the insurance cost will be like for Turbo.

Agree that for 90%, 4.9 is nicely fast. For sure insurance will be a bunch for us all.

It's an EV.

It should be faster than ICE equivalent.

Compare it to comparable EVs, like say the Ioniq 5N at half the price, you get the same 0-60 times.

EV's have democratized acceleration it's no longer that hard of a party trick - once you go EV you can't go back - for daily driving they are better than the best NA ICE motors…

Not only has it democratized it, but EVs have made 0-60 times largely irrelevant, if not completely meaningless.

Any EV company touting their vehicles' 0-60 times would be like your Starbucks barrista touting that their coffee drinks have caffeine. Hmm, yeah, ok.

Tell me about range, or some other party trick (like fake engine noise or fake clutch engagement on the Ioniq 5N)

I am excited that Porsche has created a great new vehicle for us its two currently offered forms. Just the combination of what I want my next EV to be.

Faster than all above 2 2.9 seconds to 60 MPH, but starting at $138K and just over 200” long, a double hard pass for us. But good looking.
