Default Boredom Survey: Side Blades?

Curious to know if folks are spec'ing the characteristic black (or carbon fiber) blades, a defining trait of the original ICE Macan, or going with body coloured side blades. Also interested in seeing if dark or light paint skews this selection.

I used the “SplitPic” app and to my eyes, having the side blades body colored make the Macan appear longer/lower. Earlier configuration before doing this comparison was my going with carbon fiber. No longer. I really like the app, use it all the time when debating between colors, options.

I love the Taycan in Frozen Blue but am concerned it may not work as well in the SUV shape compared to the Taycan. I hope some images of a Frozen Blue version pop up before I get my allocation (which is likely in July --- waiting for a 2025 MY).

Might there have been a Frozen Blue on in the first on-site video where someone walks around the parking lot where there are 30 media Macan’s waiting for the drivers?

I know the video you're referring to but I don't think that was Frozen Blue. It was a medium tone, maybe Shark Blue?

Frozen Blue is my 1st choice but my wife of 55 years and I have a simple agreement that she gets color choice (as long as I am okay with it), and I order every darn functional option I wish/want. Worked for our first 56 vehicles so we both like Gentian (her first choice). But damn is Frozen Blue outstanding!!!

If it is the same Macan that I am thinking of, it is Miami Blue, which is little lighter and more green than Shark. I have a Shark GT3 and it is fairly dark medium blue. Porsche has done great blues for over 75 years.

EDIT: Found the walk-around video. You were spot on, it was Miami Blue.

On color, it’s a little disappointing the marketing ads and some of the videos are pushing all these PTS colors. For those that have been in the Porsche buying game for 911 and other models as we have, PTS allocations are extremely rare.

I checked in on the Macan EV with my SA and no known allocations yet for PTS let alone enough allocations to fill the high demand on the wait lists. Would love to do a gulf blue PTS on our Macan EV Turbo, but I don’t want to be in the waiting game for 2 years like on the 911’s, with no PTS guaranteed or available.

So Frozen Blue Metallic for us, which will fit nicely wit our Gentian Blue and Ruby Star Neo 911’s.
