Each brand is different in this regards and when my wife and I ordered got our BMW fairly recently the salesperson (when no one else was around to listen) said, the fake stuff looks better, last longer without wrinkles. So we saved many thousands and my wife and I are pleased with the Sensatech interior.

What about Porsche please? If you were getting the Bordeaux/black combination interior what would you advise please? Re looks, Softness, wearability, resistance to wrinkles, etc.

I have purchased 2 Porsches (996 and current Macan S) off the showroom floor with standard interiors. I specced two 911s (997 and 991) with full leather. In my experience the full leather looks, feels and wears better than the others. The regular black interior on my current Macan S is my least favorite part of the vehicle. It looks and feels cheap. I like Porsche's a la carte menu for options and don't begrudge them for not including costly features that others may not want. For me, full leather will be the first box I check when ordering a new Macan.

Depends on the model, my GT4's seats have thin wrinkle prone leather side bolsters, but the Taycan's are thicker with only a few creases after triple the mileage.
