The board is unique... Not exactly a racing/DE board. Not exactly an OT board,
Something of a humor board. Something of friends having fun board.

We've been having HWFM Humor competitions on either the 993 board or the Racing board for more than 5 years.

We figured it was time for another.

But this one's gonna be bigger and better -- we're gonna have a forum wide humor competition.

A Turtle challenge
Embrace the zen pondhopper.

In Round 1, all posts on all threads on the board will have to be in the form of Haiku. Haiku also has a long tradition with RL, the racing board and HWFM members. A certain drover on the West Coast can attest to that.

There will be a winner for round 1 of a priceless momento of HWFM history.
Round 1 posts will be judged by a committee that may or may not exist, for originality, wit and a zenlike calm.

As true turtles, we always throw ourselves into competition, nor do we shrink from a challenge. So please note, during Round 1 of the contest, any posts on any thread on the HWFM board not in the form of Haiku will be edited out. It's all Haiku, all the time. But only for a while... Round 2 competition will take a different form. More on that later.

For Round 2's grand prize, we are currently negotiating with Larry to acquire his Eagles Superbowl tickets. So far, we are at an impasse. But as Sunday's game approaches, his demands are rapidly dropping.

The Eagles have soared.
Can they fly by the Giants?
Or will birds get plucked?
