Larry, if I have to make a trip purely for pleasure (coffee) I take the pleasure car because its more fun to drive. For me, that would equal starbucks in the 997 (if I drank starbucks and had a 997) Just my line of thinking I guess.

Maybe it isn't about impressing people, but rather about enjoying a drive...?

I don't know where you are from, but around here, you can't take a WALK without passing a Starbucks. Really, how far away is it, a couple of miles? Driving enjoyment? C'mon, really.

If I am going to enjoy a real drive in a Porsche, it will not involve Starbutts, bringing coffee home, etc.....just like back when only drivers owned Porsches and the posers hadn't joined in yet. A nice long Sunday morning drive in a Porsche might end with some coffee, but the car will be parked and I will be inside where the coffee is served. Just MNSHO of course.

I believe it was because of the Rube Goldberg approach to something that was very simple

Well that explains Thornton's driving. It also tells me that they serve beer at the T13 flag station. Why else would he keep backing his car up to it? Damn Steve's clever.

And not exactly a burning question to be answered on a Porsche enthusiast website where driving, upgrading and maintaining the cars is a bit more interesting than how to transport lousy coffee.

It could - a bit of a stretch - fall under maintaining.

On the other hand. maybe we're missing an opportunity. The perfect stocking stuffer for the man who has everything... Stocking hats for coffee cups. Keeps your coffee warm and your car clean.

Roll down covers to keep you from spilling warm liquids in your car. What do we call them? Cupdoms or Cardoms? Ether way they are Con-Dumbs as they are for taking money from folks that fork $4.00 for $.10 coffee.

Kurt I was LOLing at this part as well til I started thinking how much I pay for a drink in some bars, or what my wife's glass of wine costs in some restaurants, and what each is really worth.
