I got the thumbs up from both the Hill Country and Lone Star region CDI's to apply for my rookie license with PCA this past weekend. With luck, I'll be droving in the March Club Race at TWS. I plan on redefining slow.

Another big X to aim at...er, I mean watch out for! And what does this all mean for martinis at DEs???? After all, now that he is becoming a CR'er, he will have nothing to do with the likes of DE'ers!

Seriously Mike, that is great! Go get 'em...or, wait a while and they will come around again.

Most likely the latter strategy.

Mike,

Look forward to seeing you out there with the rest of us in the Texas branch of HWFMR! TWS is a real hoot. Starts are the best! Congratulations!

Damn! Amazing what a couple of Ben Franklin's will do.

Congrats my friend!

Oh, if it had only cost me a couple of Ben's to get to this point...

Thanks Steve, it's been a hell of a lot of fun running with the trash can crowd, and will continue to be for years to come.

Hey () -- I just realized something. There was no turtle sticker on your car last weekend!

Actually, I think I have a spare or two you could have if the HWFMR store is out of stock.

Thanks everyone. I'm not at all fast, or for that matter, that good of a drover, but I did put some effort into it, and it's pretty nice to accomplish a goal. The best part is all the great friends I've made in the process.

Now I have to overcome one of my biggest fears. ...filling out application forms.

And if Robert can't dig one up, I can.

Congratulations Mike. Do us proud.

And take it slow.

In my Region, the CIs always give a quick YES! to those they want to see gone from DE.

And yet one more will see his 'year' long before you-know-who. Good on ya Mike! Racing is SO different -- but it's even more addictive than DEs. You will find that doing a DE is actually like a Sunday drive after your first few races, so much that you'll likely sign up for a DE just to relax. ROFL. Have fun and keep your paint clean and the greasy side down.
