Now how can you say that you are having brisket when you live in the state of Florida. Everyone knows the only place that you can truly get brisket is in the great state of Texas.

Well, that may be, but (a) I'm not driving that far just for a brisket and (b) they have beef cattle here, too. They even have it in in *GASP!* California. But it's nice to see you boys are so proud of your home state.

Come on out to Texas Hill Country and we'll take you to the Salt Lick in Dripping Springs for some real Texas brisket! But bring cash because they don't take credit cards and there is no air conditioning so it gets a little warm this time of year.

Mmmmmm.... Salt Lick.

Since you're talking about great food . . . I recently "discovered" Stripling's General Store in Cordele, Georgia. Talk about the best sausage in the WORLD! Their logo is, "You Never Sausage a Place." Then there was this place in (speaking of) East Texas . . . Robertson's Hams in Will's Point, in fact . . . they have the BEST beef jerkey in the world, and the bacon still makes me drool just thinking about how great it made the house smell, let alone how delicsious it was! The neat places you find when on your way traveling somewhere, eh?

I'll try to add a couple of days on to one of my layovers next time I have a chance . . . I still put on track events out in California so the opportunity is bound to crop up to stay a couple days in Texas. And of course, sooner or later I won't be able to fight the urge to go to TWS, etc.. Ya better have some of that brisket waiting for me.

Just noticed this thread and here are some of my LR sticks (All currently WIPs)....

Cz 550 .308

FNH SPR .308

McMillan F'ed up my stock (green one, hence no bottom metal) so it's being sent back to them now, the black one I'm waiting on a DBM bottom metal setup

btw VR speaking of corps and transfers, didn't yours get in trouble or end up with some extra scrutiny lately from the ATF, due to their deal with the local LE department?
