Okay, Randy, it's a go if the offer is still on the table. Please confirm soon so that we still have the option of reserving a motel room should you have changed your mind. We'll actually be coming in on Friday afternoon (the testing at the base ends on Thursday) sometime, just let me know where you all are at. John said he wants to avoid Gwinnett at rush hour, and 85 altogether. He said something about SR 53? Anyway, he apparently has some route already planned out to get to the track. Please let me know . . . anybody else wanna join us?

Careful Bonnie. Cute 3yo's can lead to... well cute three year olds.

No chance of that, Mike. While I do like kids, we do not plan on having any of our own. We're just too selfish to give up traveling and going to the track. I don't think I could stay away from the track for nine months, let alone 18 years more. Also, at my age, I would be 54 and John would be 60 when the kid started asking for my car keys -- NOT gonna happen. Lol. So I'll just live vicariously through others . . .

Just an FYI all Road Atlanta events have been cancelled for Feb and beginning of march due to unfinished safety improvements.

Are you BSing Joe? I wonder what safety improvements there are doing? Turn 3? T5? T12? T1? Lots of places to hit walls at RA.
Edit: Maybe I can drive by ther today and take a look.

No joke.
Saw it in the formula racer forum from one of the guys who runs the events as well as IT forums.
They are adding some chicanes for the motorcycle crowd (so I've read) and it sounds like there are lots of delays.

I just went to another board with some racers in the know.
This is pasted from that site so I can't say for sure if all is correct.
Apparently the safety improvements have been requested by the M/C crowd and include a chicane on drivers left T12 and drivers right after the flag station in T4. It will not affect the layout we run but as you can imagine a chicane in T12 requires the removal of a boat load of dirt.
