So Sharky, are you up for the task or not? We're lacking pictures, video, ... Documentation of ineptitude, or photos of Milka that we've not seen. That, and you probably should come up with a useful non-track talent. The ***** in your court bud.

I'll have to wait for next year for the on-track pics and/or video. As mentioned I haven't actually gotten on a track yet (which in itself is the result of 20+ years of procrastination and should count for something, right?).
In the way of documentation of ineptitude, can it be in the form of working on my car, or does it have to be while operating it? In the past 15 months I probably have dozens of threads I've started over in the 928 forum that begin with 'HELP' and end with someone talking me through the most mundane tasks.
Here's a pic of my harmonic balancer after I did a TB/WP job:
No! I didn't put it on backward. That would be too easy to fix. I put the bolt for the tensioner roller behind the harmonic balancer in backward so the end of the bolt was rubbing on the back of the balancer (see the ring where the paint is missing?).
Boy did THAT make for a weird sound when I tried to crank it up.
In case you're not familiar with this assembly, this required me to completely drain the block and disassemble most of what I'd just done in order to fix it. Is THAT the kind of ineptitude you're looking for? Because I've got lots more...

Yup, now you're talking Mike. You might be our pit-crew excuse generator.
"I'd have been on the podium, but Mike the dyslexic mechanic put the thingerabobber on backwards."

OK, you asked for it.
Does it have to be when I was working on my car?
I did this little number with a nail gun working on my house. Ten penny nail, right through the 2x4, through my index finger and part way into my middle finger. Straight through the middle of the bone.
How's that for your pit crew?

Ouch, I bet lots of F-bombs were released with that one. That's just one beer short of a full Darwin award.
I'm seeing tons of potential now.
I'm still not giving up on the "Official Ball Picker" idea.

Holy crap! I can just hear it...
"f%ck, oh f%ck that hurts. Hey hon, could you go get the camera? The guys will never believe it."

You must get pictures of that kind of work! Besides, it really doesn't hurt all that badly because it happens so fast....until it comes time to remove the nail! Am I right? Gosh, how would I know?

That is clear and irrevocable documentation of ineptitude. This guy is all thumbs (particularly since he appears to have shot off all the other fingers).

Since I am actually a carpenter by trade and having worked in construction for almost 30 years I can relate to some of that madness. We used to wire back the safety on the nail gun and shoot them at each other.
Anyway there seems to be plenty of ineptitude and such here. Having someone take a pic of your nailed hand is priceless.
I am thinking "Tool Time Tim"
Director of Tool Management
Hell, seeing which hand was shot maybe you need to take part of my handle there "Lefty"

Actually tried pulling the finger off the nail with the claw of the hammer because it was part of a 4x8 frame section. That didn't work.

Starting to worry about Sharky. He obviously thinks he's some kind of stud.
