Default Hard Charger Award

Greetings All, with lengthy discussion with the BT over the past couple of years, I am considering resurrecting the "Hard Charger Award". It has been dorment for years. Wanted to get some input on proposed ground rules. Apparently the AMB system can track greatest movement within a race.

BT & I thought:
1) Greatest move from "posted" qualifying session to end of the race. If you miss the grid (like a number of us did at Mid-Ohio) that may not count.
2) In the event of a tie, the car that finished highest on the sheet.

This is simply to recognize someone who may not typically podium but had a great race otherwise. My company doesn't really sell or produce automotive product (custom designed transformers & solenoid coils). Since we are in the electronics business, I figured a "Hard Charger" would make sense.

Nothing is cast in stone but I appreciate good input rom this very select group.

Chris, don't take the silence here personally. I believe that this crowd has their sensors turned on high for a possible "ringer", who may be asking a trick question that is designed to flush out the imposters in HWFMR. Think about it, anyone who even admits to understanding the Hard Charger concept just might be under suspicion for some time. Being in support of the concept would constitute High Treason and be grounds for at least a disciplinary hearing (if there were such a group that would hear the case).

If I were a Racer, I would think that it was a hell of an idea!....but, I'm not any longer. I would suggest that the Racers here think about this award for all of those OTHER guys who are Hard Chargers, and what a nice bit of recognition it would be for THOSE GUYS after a hard fought race.

We have a hard charger award and it is a good idea, IMO.

Now, since you are on this board, how about a Turtle award. It goes to the person losing the most positions in a race, as long as you are still running at the end.

I should get one for Daytona. After all, I spun twice so that I could see how everyone behind me was doing.

Hmmmmm...

I may have to check and see how much money is in the team's Nigerian Bank Account. Perhaps Hey Wait For Me Racing could sponsor that.

Didn't we go for the $40 million deal that was offered a while back?

We're still waiting for you to advance them the $10,000 payment so the the wire transfer of funds can clear customs.
