So what exactly goes through one's mind while in the lead of a race, and about two turns away from a spin? Is it "holy crap, I'm in first place", or "oh yeah, I'm badass"? I know "oh $hit" is what follows.
Great video. Tough luck.

Honestly, it depends. If I'm in first and pulling away, "oh yeah, I'm badass". However, if I'm leading and second is climbing all over me, it's more like "****, I've got to get away from this guy". That's kind of what lead to the spin.

Nicely done Larry....evening out the tire wear that way with opposite spins is a little known way to be sure you are properly balanced for the next Sprint!

Very nice overtaking move at entry to bank. Nice to see that move from inside the car.
Your car seems to pull hard on the others.
Might want to check the contact patch thread on the racing forum.

Larry, been there done that have the t shirt. Sorry.
Beautiful droving until then, though.
I think that if you had some REALLY obnoxious hair-band hard metal rock playing in your car, these sorts of mistakes would disappear...

I would imagine that spining is the best way to get a true panoramic shot of the Daytona Oval. Thanks for taking one for the team and providing us with full end to end shots of the super speedway.

now that was really fun to watch!
little know fact is if you spin in T1 and reach the grass, you'll most likely find the outside wall (I got that t-shirt!)... slippery that grass is....

Excellent video!!! Coming into the turn ... for the last spin ...man you were fast!! All I am thinking is 'who supersized your sack?' as you came off the oval....but then physics took over.
Awesome none the less!!!

Yeah, in both of those spins I "almost" had it, but the back of the car just would not stop rotating. I softened the rear bar a little to get a touch more grip and had no problems the rest of the weekend.

Jerry, that old law has been proven to be faulty. You see, there is no acceleration upon hitting wet grass. It has been found that the feeling of acceleration is caused by the instantaneous slamming shut of one's ******* , creating a bit of a forward motion and a noise similar to a loud clap of thunder.
