I don't even know where Dulles airport is. I fly into either Houston or DFW airport, then to either Pensacola or Fort Walton Beach airport. Where is Dulles? Or was that a play on Dallas?

Never mind, I just looked Dulles up, in Virginia. A connector to Washington DC apparently? Yeah, I don't think I'll be hanging out there anytime soon.

No, that's Edmund Lacis the track photog. I'm the guy who stumbles around with a camear about the same size. Last year in a WRX this year in the party van.

I'll take any advantage I can get. If I had a Porsche I would have a natural James Bond oil slick that I could use as well. Alas that's not to be.

I stumble around with a camera about the same size, too. Only, I've got two kids with me and I'm usually doing something like shooting into the sun or with the lenscap still on.

That reminds me of several years ago of a trip to Hawaii. We bought a new camcorder for the trip. We were at the Arizona memorial and I was walking around with it running for about 20 minutes. I got great shots of the sidewalk and railing. I got motion sickness just watching it.

I finally get out this weekend also. Unfortunately it is only an Autocross. Like VR my family priorities have made frequent track events a thing of the past for a while. I spent 11 weekends in 3-1/2 months at the track two summers ago. That did not go over well with the wife and kids. I'm also looking forward to getting back to Mid-Ohio later this year.
DaveM did you see the photo's Rhen took at M-O this past monday? Thunder valley completely under water.
P.s. WOW this forum is sooooooooo much nicer and more civilized.

Yeah, I've been learning the kid/photo routine with the 1 year old. Occasionally they help make nice shots though.

Well, that's one tattoo she won't be ashamed of in twenty years, at least. A friend of mine got a checkered flag on her shoulder for her 50th birthday. I will never do the tattoo thing, but I can admire the good ones.

Yeah except in 20 years it will look like a purple/black blob.

Back up to Waterford Hills this weekend - race 5 in the series of 6... expecting not much, except the way the rain is moving in maybe I'll have another stellar rain weekend and actually close up on the ITB championship again - right now I'm pretty much out of it unless the other guy has a real lousy weekend. Which he seems to do in the rain.

Haven't been to the track in... oh, jeez, going on two weeks now!

***You poor thing! It's only been a week myself. I still have fond memories of the 993 . . . and I'll be driving it again in a couple of weeks! I know, I know, it's a tough job but somebody's gotta do it, ya know.

***Lol, no, not Sears. There's some track in Nevada . . . not the one in Las Vegas or Reno-Fernley. Some other place that folks have mentioned. It's fairly new if memory serves. I've never went because it's a bit of a tow, but I was planning to one of these days when I have a week to commit to it.
