It was obviously the cars fault it wasn't fast enough. So he had to sell it.

He claims its a competitive car in his ad. That means he's either lying in his ad, or admitting that he sucks as a driver since he wasn't competitive when he drove it.

He claimed he was getting used to the car. Of course, later he claimed he can get an track down in four laps. Definitely something amiss there.
