Well, he had to have had greater than a 16-second time because he wasn't wearing a helmet. Did the wagon take off first, kind of like a pax rule? I tell ya one thing -- that was one of the crappiest launches I've ever seen.

Yup, you've gotta be going REALLY slow for a track to not require you to wear a helmet. And you've gotta be REALLY slow in the head to not wear a helmet, no matter what the track requires. How many times can one Ghettoboy prove himself to be a moron? Infinity comes to mind...

Two options: 1) Bracket racing where the cars are handicapped based on their benchmark time...but this includes the word racing, so we know Ghettoboy wasn't going that.

2) Most folks concentrate on getting a good launch rather than their reaction time when they are trying to lay down good ET's...unfortunately, despite leaving late, it appears that Ghettoboy still got a bad launch.

Noted, a proper drag racing launch with a manual transmission will be REALLY bad on the clutch. You need to launch at a high RPM where you car is making power and using your clutch rather than the throttle to control how much power is getting to the ground to limit wheelspin. When done properly, you'll be fast...

Oh, I know it's bad on the clutch in the first place. My father used to drag race (and won a LOT) back in the 70s. I've gone a few times locally just for fun with friends and we had a good time. I'm figuring it's probably from autocrossing a long time ago, but I for some reason have a good launch. None of that winding crap GR did in his launch. When you drop the clutch, you're supposed to be going FORWARD. Lol
