ROFL, VR. Yeah, I'm going to need plenty of Mike's martinis to let you guys 'double tap it'. Mike, just hand me the shaker and I'll drink directly from there. Better yet, just give me the Tanqueray.

How far is TWS from the Houston airport, Mike? And who is putting on the show? Maybe I can come out and instruct. MAYBE. It's not exactly a cheap ticket. Or maybe in the future sometime I can come out and instruct. I did it at Sebring (instructed on a track I've never driven) and it worked out fine. Well, I had a car to drive at that event, so it was a little easier. As long as somebody can give me a ride along, I could instruct no problem. Maybe I can take my next trip to Florida via Houston airport, stay in town somewhere for a couple of days, instruct for the weekend, and then continue on to Florida Monday. That is definitely something I would consider. Hmmmm . . .

PS -- jalapeño stuffed olives, eh? That sounds great! I tried bleu cheese stuffed olives recently in a martini -- DON'T do it. It wasn't good. Blah. My tongue is still angry at me for that.

Either / or . . . or both. Is TSW the only racetrack in Texas? I thought there was another one. I'd love to see some new tracks. I mean, I pay enough money for the tickets, I might as well make the most of it (not that visiting John isn't enough, lol).

PCA puts on the DE at TWS. Driver's Edge also does some there as well. The only other track I know of in the Houston area is MSR Houston. PCA no longer runs DE's there, but I think Drivers' Edge may. You could always rent a car at Hertz & drove that on the track. It's been done before.

But Mike . . . all Hertz rents (to the best of my knowledge) are lame-o automagics! Yuck. I'll just get my kicks from instructing I guess. No matter, I plan to 'hit that' track someday soon. I do have a friend named Merv that lives in Texas . . . I bet he'd let me borrow his SM. I'd probably just have to buy his entry or something. Not a bad deal if you ask me.

TWS is probably an hour and a half from Houston Intercontinental Airport. It is in College Station, Texas.
The other track you have heard about in Texas is Motorsport Ranch Cresson, near Ft. Worth, that PCA also uses.
MSR Houston is not used by any group any more for DE's, including Drivers Edge.
EDIT: Eagles Canyon is a brand new track north fo Ft. Worth, and is opening this summer. Looks ot be fun, and PCA will use it, too!
